Rural Roads being widened...some understanding

Well the news item in this morning HINDU prompted a simple research on the status of roads in the three districts i had written earlier, virudhunagar, tirunelveli and kanyakumari. According to government of tamilnadu, highways department these roads are laid out to connect ports from the eastern and western coast. nothing to do with the people of the districts through which it is passing through. my mistake to think whether the kind of traffic and local people require such roads. these are global roads, ushering in further trade and commerce through roads laid amongst the habitats of the designated global victims.
