News Comment: Kamaraj birth anniversary to be declared as `Educational Development Day'
Comment: I would think that a fitting tribute to Kamraj would be to acknowledge the contribution by those who have not gone through the factory schooling system and yet achieved much in thier chosen vocation, calling the birthday of a gentle giant whose humility and humane attitude was exemplary as '(factory) Educational Development Day' is usurption of the credit of the enterprising nature of many communities (Kamaraj comes from perhaps the most hard working and enterprising trading community of Nadars, from the town of Virudhunagar (I will write about it some time) across Tamilnadu.

P.S.: Now that a Lucknow (or is it Ranchi) court has declared egg a non-vegetarian, at least legally the government has declared that it is changing the diet of the noon-meal scheme from vegetarian to non-vegetarian. This would mean a increase in sales for the poultry industry (a centralised and close cartel in Tamilnadu accroding to friends who know of this industry), perhaps soon we may have chicken, meat and fish being also served...are any vegetarians protesting? or maybe a predominantly non-vegetarian state need not be sensitive to the minority sentiments of vegetarians!?!?!?
