RIP J. Jayalalitha

MGRs legacy in tamilnadu politics is undeniable and prevalent till date. To beat all other claimants to that legacy and establish herself as the sole heir, to create a myth that equals MGR in several cases and surpassed his in some in endearing to masses, to compete in the highly male chauvinist Tamil political scene and make men spineless worms in front of her, to sustain the leader post among the most corrupt, clever and skullduggery politicos in the country, to stand up at times to the centre and vent the Tamil pride with clarity in continuation of a long established tradition, to sustain the benevolent State identity in tamilnadu and create newer schemes that caters to the populism and mass support, and to manage a party of such a large and diverse people and their priorities and preferences for over 3 decades - all these calls for a courageous, creative, complicated and control centric leader. She as a person will remain a mystery as hardly a small group ever was permitted to know her. Rest in Peace, JJ.
